Palar Dam, also known as the Palar Porundalar Dam, is built across the Palar and Porundalar rivers. It is around 10 km away from Palani and is used for irrigating more than 17,000 acres of land. The dam measures 2,450 m in length and 20 m in height, making it the biggest dam in the district.
