Thalaiyar Falls is one of the most popular tourist spots in Kodaikanal. This refreshing waterfall is one of the highest falls in not just India but entire Asia with 975 ft sheer drop. Located on the opposite hill from the Ghat Road, Rat Tail Falls cannot be reached directly as there is no direct path leading to the falls. However, one can enjoy its excellent beauty from the roadside benches and spent some quality time amidst the refreshing setting. For lovers of adventure and hiking, the peak of the falls makes for a worth hiking destination. However, if going for trekking, one needs to be highly cautious. In the dry season, it is much feasible to hike on foot which begins at the Manjalar Dam.
